Every year the Austin American-Statesman selects several families or individuals for our Season For Caring campaign where as a staff we tell their stories and hardships in hopes of securing help both financial and physical. This is Okee Fee, the two-year old daughter of Uka and Naw Min, refugees from Burma, who have settled in Austin recently. The family of three live in a small apartment as Uka works while Naw cares for her child and is on the fast track to learning English to also get a job. Okee grabbed this small camera using it more as a toy as she mimics me documenting her family.
